As a Senior Software Developer, you will support Elsevier’s Research Data Platform by harvesting and transforming datasets for data products. You will contribute code, debug existing projects, and participate in code reviews. The work uses Java or Python alongside data models and manipulation languages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive critical Research Data Platform initiatives using Java or Python
• Contribute code to new and existing projects
• Debug software and participate in code reviews
• Harvest and process large datasets through internal systems
• Fuel core Elsevier products with transformed data

Requirements:

• Extensive current Java or Python development skills
• Proficiency with data manipulation languages and data models
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, XML, SQL, or UNIX
• Basic knowledge of Agile or Waterfall methodologies
• Professional communication in English and French; Montreal area location
