Our client, a leading technology company in the wireless communications space, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in the Markham area.

Key Requirements

• Experience: 8–12+ years of professional backend development experience with a degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Core Tech: Strong expertise in Java , Spring Boot , Kafka , and containerized architectures (Kubernetes / OpenShift).
• Networking & Protocols: Experience with low-level network socket programming (TCP/IP, UDP) and distributed system integration patterns.
• Security & Tools: Understanding of secure application development (OAuth2, JWT, encryption) and strong Git proficiency.
• Nice-to-Have: CI/CD pipelines, Linux environments, scripting, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications, RESTful APIs, and system integrations.
• Optimize system performance, security, and reliability across distributed environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and write robust unit/integration tests.
• Collaborate on system architecture and contribute to continuous improvement.
