Senior Java Spring Boot Developer

Design scalable Java and Spring Boot services from the Greater Toronto Area, working primarily remotely with on-site collaboration as required. Build backend solutions for complex enterprise workflows.

This full-time, two-month contract supports an application modernization initiative in transportation and logistics. As a Senior Java Developer, you will create RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations. Your work will support appointment management, booking, scheduling, and transaction processing across high-volume operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design scalable Java and Spring Boot services
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices for appointment workflows
• Build booking, validation, scheduling, and transaction functionality
• Integrate enterprise systems with security and error handling
• Develop automated tests and support deployment readiness

Requirements:

• Seven-plus years of Java application development experience
• Strong Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and dependency injection expertise
• RESTful API, microservices, JSON, and integration experience
• Strong SQL and relational database skills
• Testing, Git, CI/CD, security, and Agile knowledge
