As a Java developer at Adaptive, you will build front-office trading technology for top financial institutions. You will work within a collaborative London team to solve complex, cloud-based, event-driven challenges using modern Java. Your work will support OMS/EMS/Exchange systems and the Matching Engine, contributing to scalable fintech solutions. - Develop server-side software for front-office trading systems
- Contribute to cloud-based, event-driven architectures
- Work on OMS/EMS/Exchange systems and Matching Engine
- Engage in Agile processes (Scrum, Kanban) and collaborative knowledge sharing
- Implement and optimize FIX-based workflows and E-Trading components
- Significant server-side software development experience
- Core Java expertise; Java 17+ a plus
- Familiarity with data structures (sets, hashes, caches)
- Experience in Front Office financial systems, E-Trading and FIX
- Experience delivering OMS/EMS/Exchange systems
- Exposure to equities trading and brokerage
- Knowledge of dependency injection/inversion of control
- Experience in Agile environments
- Extensive experience with Matching Engine
