Senior software engineer in the Equity Swaps Trading Technology area, focusing on Scala-based processing engines for Regulatory Reporting in a global capital markets context. You will contribute to trading front-to-back systems, driving automation and regulatory compliance. You’ll work within a cross-functional agile squad to deliver complex features and support intraday and end-of-day reporting. The role blends hands-on development with collaboration across business users and technologists to meet global regulatory requirements. - Develop and support Scala-based regulatory reporting systems
- Build enhancements and fixes for intraday and end-of-day reporting
- Perform unit testing, UAT support, release notes, signoff coordination, and deployment activities
- Provide production support post-release
- Own complex problems and deliver key features in collaboration with business stakeholders
- Strong Java developers with interest in learning Scala
- Enterprise-level Scala development experience preferred
- Experience with MQ and Kafka
- Unix/Linux environment experience
- Basic scripting in Unix, Perl, or Python beneficial
- Relational databases and SQL query optimization
- At least 8 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor in Computer Science / Maths / Engineering / Science or equivalent experience
- Interest in learning the business supported by the applications
