Senior Kotlin Android Developer

Build CARFAX Android applications with advanced Kotlin expertise from London, Ontario, working two days weekly in the office. Apply TDD and Agile methods.

As an Android Developer, you will code and test enhancements for CARFAX applications. You will use Jetpack Compose, ViewModels, Room, Navigation, Hilt or Dagger, WorkManager, and DataStore. The team uses MVVM or MVI, Clean Architecture, Kotlin Coroutines, RxJava, Gradle, Git, and CI/CD automation. Collaboration includes developers, UX designers, support teams, stakeholders, and remote colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new applications within an Agile team environment
• Code and test CARFAX Android application enhancements
• Participate in daily huddles and Scrum ceremonies
• Collaborate with developers, designers, support teams, and stakeholders
• Promote software design and quality through disciplined development

Requirements:

• Bring four or more years of strong Kotlin expertise
• Design scalable, modular, testable Android codebases
• Use Android Studio for debugging, profiling, and build tools
• Understand security, performance, Gradle, Git, and CI/CD
• Analyze complex problems and devise scalable solutions
