Senior Kotlin Engineer

In this Senior Kotlin engineer role, you will help shape a next-generation lending platform as part of a fast-growing UK fintech. You’ll contribute to scalable backend systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive elegant Kotlin solutions and new API integrations. You’ll work on modern infrastructure and internal tooling to support expanding products, including US offerings. This is a chance to influence architectural decisions and solve impactful problems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Deliver idiomatic Kotlin solutions and maintainable code for scalable services
• Build and integrate new APIs to support the collections function and product expansions
• Create internal tools to improve developer efficiency and product delivery
• Collaborate in design forums with stakeholders from across the business
• Support expansion into new products and markets (notably the US) with robust, well-tested software
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

• Strong commercial Kotlin experience
• Ability to write simple, clean code
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Understanding of financial business domains and software architectures
• Ability to write comprehensive automated tests (test pyramid)
• Familiarity with Kanban/agile methodologies
• Willingness to collaborate and learn in a team environment
