Senior Kubernetes / Cloud Platform Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Kubernetes / Cloud Platform Engineer for a 1-year contract opportunity. This role can be fully remote across Canada and will support the deployment, administration, automation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise Kubernetes environments across public cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on Kubernetes expertise, advanced troubleshooting experience, and the ability to work effectively within a global 24x7 support model.

Skills and Requirements

• 8–10 years of relevant infrastructure/cloud engineering experience


• Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience, including AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift, and/or on-prem Kubernetes


• Strong Kubernetes troubleshooting and production support experience


• Terraform for Infrastructure as Code


• Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, load balancing, RBAC, network policies, and container security


• Experience with Azure, AWS, and/or GCP


• Python, Bash/Shell, and/or PowerShell scripting


• CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps or GitLab


• Strong communication and documentation skills


• Red Hat OpenShift experience


• Argo CD experience


• Admission controllers and Kubernetes policy tooling


• Ansible/configuration management experience


• Kubernetes certification
