Overview

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer in JPMorganChases Data Platforms, you help build trusted, market-leading technology in a secure, scalable, cloud-native environment. You work within an agile team to drive impactful engineering across metadata, distributed systems, and platforms. You lead technical direction, apply advanced coding practices, and promote AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery. This role combines deep full-stack capabilities with problem-solving in a high-stakes financial services setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering of metadata, meta-modelling and distributed systems solutions
• Provide technical guidance to business teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others code
• Drive adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices and establish validation standards
• Leverage SDLC toolchain and AI-enabled automation to improve value at scale
• Make design and operations decisions affecting product and platform functionality
• Serve as an SME across focus areas and advocate firmwide SDLC frameworks and practices
• Contribute to the engineering community by promoting established tools and practices

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced Java and TypeScript experience
• Experience leading use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools with ability to set team expectations for AI output validation
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency and security requirements
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently
• Practical cloud-native experience
