Overview

In this role you build and evolve a flagship electronic trading platform for global markets, spanning pricing, execution, and risk management. You will work with a geographically distributed team to translate requirements into robust software and improve system reliability and performance. You’ll influence non-functional requirements and SDLC practices while collaborating with product, project management, and analysis partners. This is an opportunity to shape high-scale, low-latency trading technology in a leading financial services firm.

Responsibilities
  • Understand requirements, diagnose problems, and propose end-to-end solutions
  • Design, develop, and test software following SDLC practices
  • Partner with project managers, business analysts, and management as a technical SME
  • Define and implement non-functional requirements (performance, reliability)
  • Identify and drive improvements to systems and development processes
Key requirements
  • Proficiency in Core Java or C++
  • Working knowledge of Spring and SQL
  • Experience developing on Unix or Linux
  • Knowledge of unit testing practices and test automation
  • Understanding of multi-threading, threading models, and messaging concepts
  • Understanding of low-latency, event-driven system concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams and stakeholders
