Overview

You will lead and deliver innovative software projects on a global, cross‑functional team focused on the Strategic Index platform. In this role you shape the design and evolution of our technology stack to support cross‑markets index trading and drive automation. You collaborate with Quantitative Research, Structuring, Trading, Sales and Middle Office to deliver high‑quality solutions that impact how the index business runs and grows. You work in an agile environment with a culture of excellence and continuous learning, using AI‑assisted practices to improve code quality and delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver projects within the global program of work
  • Collaborate with other technology teams to deliver user‑focused solutions
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications for the Strategic Index desk
  • Partner with business users to understand requirements and prioritise deliverables
  • Apply Agile methodologies to drive projects from inception to production
  • Drive adoption of AI‑assisted engineering practices across teams with measurable validation standards
  • Improve SDLC through AI-assisted development and automation capabilities
  • Focus on testing and quality throughout the development cycle
  • Contribute to continuous platform design and capabilities
  • Take ownership of deliverables from requirements to production
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Key requirements
  • Strong programming background in Python, Java, C++, or C#
  • Willingness to become proficient in Python
  • Proven track record of delivering high‑quality, well‑tested solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience leading use of enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted development tools
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and data sensitivity considerations
  • Ability to own deliverables from requirements to production
