Senior Lead Software Engineer - Mobile Engineering

In this role, you lead the native mobile platform for iOS and Android within the International Consumer Bank, shaping architecture and delivering scalable, high-quality mobile experiences. You work hands-on to advance core platform components while guiding two mobile teams through design and best practices. You partner with Product, Design, Backend, Security, Risk, and QA to translate goals into robust technical solutions. You drive engineering excellence and mature mobile SDLC, enabling reliable, secure, and high-performance apps. This is a architect-level, impactful position in a bank aiming to reinvent digital mobile banking.

• Own and evolve end-to-end mobile architecture across iOS and Android, including modularization and long-term scalability
• Provide technical leadership across iOS and Android teams, setting standards and aligning on shared practices
• Remain hands-on: build and review core platform components and unblock engineering challenges
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, Security, Risk, and QA to translate goals into solutions and delivery plans
• Define and enforce high engineering standards for quality, security, performance, accessibility, and reliability
• Establish and improve mobile SDLC practices: planning, development, review, testing, release, and operations
• Lead mobile testing and quality strategy (unit/integration/UI automation) for stability and release confidence
• Own mobile build/release and operations: CI/CD, observability, crash/performance monitoring, incident response
• Mentor engineers and foster strong engineering culture; support team growth
• Communicate technical trade-offs, progress, risks, and dependencies to senior stakeholders

• Native mobile applications experience on iOS and Android
• iOS (Swift) with modern architecture patterns
• Android (Kotlin) with modern architecture patterns and Jetpack components
• Senior technical lead experience with system-level design and cross-team adoption
• Strong mobile fundamentals: performance, memory, concurrency, offline-first, networking, lifecycle, secure storage
• Clean, testable code, code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement
• Experience with API-driven apps (REST, GraphQL) and backend collaboration
• Proven track record of improving test strategy, automation, CI/CD
• Experience in agile environments and with distributed teams
