Senior Lead Software Engineer - Python - Asset & WM

In this role you drive the design and delivery of data and analytics solutions on a federated data platform, enabling AI-ready capabilities and trusted Data Products. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance data ingestion, transformation, and marketplace distribution, while embedding secure, scalable foundations for analytics and AI workloads. You shape platform standards, governance, and reusable patterns that improve time-to-data and consumer experience. This is a chance to impact Quantitative Research and Technology stakeholders at scale.
Responsibilities- Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors for data ingestion, transformation, and data product capabilities on a federated platform
- Design and develop secure, production-grade data pipelines, services, and marketplace-facing Data Products; review and improve code
- Lead design of reusable platform capabilities that enable AI-ready Data Products with strong metadata, lineage, and quality signals
- Influence product design, data contracts, distribution approaches, and engineering processes to improve reliability and data delivery
- Apply SDLC toolchain and approved AI-assisted development to scale automation and value
- Establish and promote engineering standards and automation across SDLC (testing, CI/CD, observability, performance) for secure, stable, scalable solutions
- Drive governance of AI-assisted engineering practices, defining validation standards and promoting reuse of patterns
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in data engineering patterns, distributed processing, data product design, or platform enablement
- Contribute to the engineering community by advocating firmwide SDLC frameworks, tools, and practices
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with applied experience (NAMR/APAC, India/LATAM/Hong Kong)
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with advanced applied experience (EMEA/LATAM-Brazil)
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in Python
- Experience using enterprise AI-assisted software development tools and setting team expectations for AI output validation
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling of data
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently
