Senior Lead Software Engineer - Python, Data, Cloud, AIML

In this Senior Lead role, you will shape and deliver trusted, market-leading technology in a scalable, secure cloud environment. You’ll lead hands-on engineering within an agile team in Markets Research Technology, contributing to data, backend, and AIML initiatives that support the firm’s objectives. You’ll industrialize AI/ML models for production and design robust data solutions, collaborating cross-functionally to drive impact. This is a technically hands-on role with a focus on scalable, production-ready software.
Responsibilities- Execute software solutions with design, development, and troubleshooting across multiple technical areas
- Produce secure, high-quality production code and maintain production algorithms
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring constraints are met
- Build data and AIML stack including data engineering, backend, Cloud infra, DevOps and MLOps
- Design and implement data engineering solutions using modern big data technologies
- Contribute to engineering communities of practice and explore new technologies
- Demonstrate a learning mindset, problem-solving, and a can-do attitude
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- Hands-on experience in system design, app development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in Python and at least one other modern programming language
- Experience coding in large corporate environments with database querying languages
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
- Proven track record in system design, architecting microservices, distributed systems and data-intensive apps
- Experience with Cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, containerized apps, big data, and modern data engineering technologies
- Hands-on production-scale Cloud-native data engineering solutions in commercial settings
- Familiarity with Cloud Data services (ETL, Glue, S3, Athena) and MLOps stack
- Strong communication to stakeholders of diverse backgrounds
