Senior Linux Systems Engineer

Senior Linux Systems Engineer roles demand expert RHEL administration and Ansible automation, with hybrid work in Downtown Toronto, Ontario.

This six-month contract supports enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives. The hands-on senior engineer administers Linux environments, develops automation, and supports large-scale migrations. Work spans RHEL, Bash or KSH scripting, Nutanix AHV, VMware ESXi, Azure, and CI/CD tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
• Develop Ansible playbooks for provisioning and patching
• Support VMware ESXi to Nutanix AHV migrations
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation

Requirements:

• Eight to ten or more years of Linux engineering experience
• Expert-level RHEL administration skills
• Strong Ansible and Bash or KSH scripting experience
• Enterprise patching and lifecycle management experience
• Familiarity with Azure and CI/CD tools
