Senior Low Latency Software Engineer - Equities Execution (SVP)

In this role you will help build Citi’s next-generation, low-latency execution platform for equities, collaborating across traders, researchers and infrastructure teams. You’ll shape features for execution performance, liquidity sources and DMA capabilities while applying AI-driven SDLC practices to boost quality and speed. • Design, develop and maintain high-performance, low-latency electronic execution systems
• Partner with traders, quant researchers, and clients to translate needs into product features and enhancements
• Improve and maintain testing frameworks, tools and environments for reliability at scale
• Leverage AI-powered development tools across the Software Development Life Cycle
• Champion Agile development and CI/CD with shift-left testing
• Build and maintain platform support functions such as monitoring, trade reconciliation and recovery processes

• Strong knowledge of low-latency Java and Rust
• Experience in developing electronic trading platforms in a global financial institution or equivalent
• Understanding of automated testing techniques and quality engineering practices
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI processes
• Knowledge of low-latency system design, performance optimization, concurrency and high-throughput architecture
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment
• Excellent communication skills in a multicultural, cross-regional setting
• Knowledge of regional exchange microstructure and regulatory regimes
• C++ would be an advantage
• Prior experience in managing small teams is a plus
