Senior Machine Learning Engineer

In this Senior ML Engineer role, you build production-grade generative AI platforms and agentic systems to transform credit analysis. You’ll shape greenfield AI initiatives within Fitch’s AI Innovation teams in London, mentor engineers, and set technical standards for scalable AI across the organization. You’ll work at the cutting edge of LLMs, RAG architectures, and multi-agent workflows to deliver material impact on how analysts and markets operate. • Design and ship production generative AI solutions, including agentic workflows, RAG architectures, and intelligent platforms
• Lead ML initiatives from design to deployment with robust CI/CD and scalable architecture
• Mentor junior engineers, perform code reviews, and promote ML best practices
• Build scalable production ML infrastructure (APIs, MLOps pipelines, cloud deployment)
• Ensure governance and operational excellence (monitoring, SLAs, cost optimization)
• Collaborate with product squads and stakeholders to integrate ML into flagship products
• Stay at the bleeding edge by evaluating new AI technologies and shaping technical strategy

• 6+ years of professional experience building production AI/ML systems
• Hands-on experience with generative AI, LLMs, agentic workflows, and RAG architectures
• Strong Python and PyTorch skills, with model training and deployment experience
• Bachelor's degree in related field; Master/PhD strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of MLOps, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS/Azure (including services like SageMaker, Bedrock), Airflow, and API development for ML systems
• Proven track record of leading projects and mentoring without direct management
• Excellent collaboration and ability to translate ML concepts for diverse audiences
