Senior Machine Learning Engineer, AV Core

In this role you will lead large-scale data enrichment for the Core Model Safety team to improve robustness of driverless systems. You will partner with pre-/mid-training, reward modelling, and data platforms to mine hard events and validate real-world model behavior. You’ll design workflows that enhance data quality and enable introspection, while shaping ML infrastructure and operational efficiency across teams. • Lead large-scale data enrichment and curation initiatives within Core Model Safety, collaborating with Pre/Midtraining, reward modelling, self-supervised labelling, and Data Enrichment Platform
• Build workflows for enrichment, data curation, and hard/rare event mining to support robust model performance and introspection
• Design and train out-of-distribution detection mechanisms to enable robust driverless operation
• Work at the intersection of model engineering, infrastructure, compute, and data to influence architecture across teams
• Improve overall efficiency of ML and operations stack

• Hands-on experience with ML systems deployed in the real world
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch with strong software engineering practices
• Strong track record with ML operations and infrastructure, including distributed computing and large-scale inference
• Senior-level ownership and collaboration, able to lead a substantial technical area and communicate across research and engineering
