Senior Machine Learning Engineer SAIGE

Build AI-first products remotely across Canada with SandboxAQ as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer focused on Python and model deployment.

The senior-level SAIGE engineer owns machine learning from data exploration through production. You will develop LQMs, agentic frameworks, scalable pipelines, and evaluations while rapidly testing practical solutions. Collaboration spans researchers, software engineers, product managers, and user experience researchers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design data pipelines for LQM training, validation, and retraining
• Develop and test novel machine learning models and algorithms
• Engineer features from complex, large-scale datasets
• Analyze failures and optimize model architecture and hyperparameters
• Translate objectives into ML development and deployment roadmaps

Requirements:

• Five-plus years of postgraduate software development experience
• Strong Python expertise with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, NumPy, and Pandas
• Experience building highly available, scalable ML systems
• Full ML lifecycle experience through production deployment
• Proficiency in MLOps, CI/CD, experiment tracking, testing, and version control
