Senior Machine Learning Manager, Borrowing

In this role you lead a high-calibre ML team to shape Monzo’s Borrowing roadmap across UK growth, new customer segments, and EU expansion. You will improve underwriting, pricing, limits, and lifecycle decisions while building next-gen capabilities. You partner with Credit Strategy, Product, Engineering, and Data to drive measurable business impact and scalable credit decisioning. • Define Borrowing ML roadmaps for UK optimization, new segments, and EU expansion
• Accelerate model improvement via data and feature engineering
• Leverage Open Banking, transaction data, and external data in credit decisioning
• Develop portable underwriting capabilities across products and markets
• Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing ML team
• Raise model quality, governance, tooling, and iteration speed
• Collaborate with Credit Strategy, Product, Engineering, Validation, Data, and Platform to influence long-term architecture

• Credit and machine learning
