Senior Machine Learning Research Scientist

Design deep learning architectures for genome-scale models in Toronto, using machine learning research and genome biology expertise. Work full-time at senior level.

As a Senior Research Scientist, you will develop pre-training methods for biological foundation models learning from genome and other -omics data. The work requires deep machine learning research skill, a solid grasp of genome biology, and independence to set direction. Scope may vary with experience across Senior and Staff levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design new deep learning architectures for biological foundation models
• Develop pre-training methods for genome and -omics data
• Build large pre-trained models using RNA and genome data
• Choose meaningful biological questions for model development
• Connect model outputs to drug discovery decisions

Requirements:

• Deep machine learning research skill
• Solid understanding of genome biology
• Experience modeling genomics or other -omics data
• Published research or open projects
• Ability to link machine learning results to biology
