As a Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon, you will own a major Smart Home workstream from research direction through production impact. You will frame ambiguous problems, build models, and partner with engineering on agentic orchestration, personalization, and real-world household variation. Your work will influence product and technical roadmaps while mentoring scientists and raising scientific standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define research agendas and solve ill-defined Smart Home problems
• Build models and guide system design into production
• Evaluate approaches and quantify customer and business impact
• Shape scientific roadmaps and technical requirements
• Mentor scientists and influence cross-team direction

Requirements:

• Three-plus years building machine learning models for business applications
• PhD or master's degree with six-plus years applied research experience
• Programming experience in Java, C++, Python, or related languages
• Experience with neural deep learning and machine learning methods
• Preferred experience with Spark, TensorFlow, or distributed systems
