Senior Mainframe Infrastructure Architect

Lead Mainframe infrastructure oversight for the Government of Ontario, supporting software operations, hardware installation, migrations, and disaster recovery activities.

This Senior Technology Architect serves as a subject matter expert for Mainframe software maintenance and hardware installation. The work supports day to day operations, project delivery, software optimization, and continuity for mission critical applications. Experience with complex data centre environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sustain daily Mainframe software and program product operations
• Plan and configure new Mainframe hardware installations
• Support software and networking component migrations
• Coordinate software and program product decommissioning
• Provide incident management, technical documentation, and ticket updates

Requirements:

• 10+ years overseeing Mainframe infrastructure support
• Experience managing refresh, transition, and migration resources
• Experience replacing complex enterprise services and hardware
• In-depth knowledge of modern data centre service models
• Strong documentation, writing, and change management experience
