Overview

In this role you lead agile software development to design and deliver new or improved web applications for internal and external clients. You will align design, engineering, product, and implementation to understand system impact and drive scalable, high-availability outcomes. You’ll mentor a growing team, champion continuous improvement, and work with cross-functional leaders to prioritize work. You’ll engage with payroll and statutory compliance domains while staying current with new technologies to deliver value at scale. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on client outcomes and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead agile development cycles and ensure timely delivery of user stories
  • Develop and nurture team members, fostering an inclusive, high-performing environment
  • Guide two-week sprint planning, coding standards, and forward-looking technical criteria
  • Foster continuous learning and autonomous ownership within the portfolio
  • Collaborate with business leadership and project management to align automation with priorities
  • Present and defend the team’s approach to leadership
  • Collaborate across the development organization to turn ideas into production
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of microservices stack including .Net, Docker, Redis, REST/JSON, SQL
  • Experience with AWS or Azure, and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Ansible or similar)
