Senior Manager - Google Cloud Platform Engineer, Technology & Transformation

In this role you guide the design and delivery of Google Cloud solutions for complex client engagements, ensuring robust, scalable outcomes. You work with senior leads to translate requirements into architecture, mentor junior engineers, and drive adoption of GCP services. • Lead the design and delivery of Google Cloud solutions across client engagements, owning defined workstreams and ensuring quality and governance
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into architectural designs and implementation plans in collaboration with client stakeholders
• Mentor junior engineers and analysts to foster a collaborative, high-performing team
• Drive adoption of Google Cloud services (Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Gemini Enterprise) and articulate business value to clients
• Contribute to technical pre-sales activities (bid docs, RFIs/RFPs) and client presentations
• Collaborate with Google Cloud representatives, client technical teams, and Deloitte delivery leads for seamless integration and long-term supportability
• Advance Deloitte’s Google Cloud capabilities, methodologies, and IP through continuous improvement
• Stay updated on Google Cloud developments and industry trends to keep Deloitte at the forefront of cloud innovation
• Support cross-functional delivery and client engagements to deliver measurable impact to clients

• Solid experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering or architecture with deep knowledge of compute, storage, networking and cloud management in delivery contexts
• Hands-on GCP delivery across core services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run)
• Track record of end-to-end cloud engagements from discovery/design to build/go-live, preferably in consulting or professional services
• Experience in technical pre-sales activities (RFIs, RFPs) and client-facing presentations
• Strong understanding of cloud security practices, compliance, network architecture in GCP (VPC Service Controls, IAM governance, encryption)
• Knowledge of AI/ML on GCP with ability to position Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise for client outcomes
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Analytical, structured problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity and escalate risks
• Understanding of cloud managed services, support processes, and design for operational sustainability
• Associate Cloud Engineer certification (or equivalent) or progress toward it
