Overview

As Senior Manager in West Monroe’s London M&A practice, you lead complex tech-focused transactions for PE and corporate clients. You will drive due diligence, PMI, and carve-out work, shaping operating models and value creation. You’ll grow the London office through leadership, business development, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a chance to influence high-tech and software deals at scale in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead complex M&A engagements for private equity and corporate clients in the tech/software space.
  • Manage due diligence across operational, product, and technology areas to identify risks and value drivers.
  • Deliver PMI and carve-out strategies with operating-model transformations and post-sales optimization.
  • Evaluate investment strategies against benchmarks and organizational structures.
  • Act as trusted advisor to C-level executives and deal teams with actionable insights.
  • Oversee value creation initiatives focusing on revenue growth and cost optimization in software/high-tech.
  • Develop and enhance M&A methodologies and data-driven frameworks for tech clients.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to performance management and career development.
  • Support London office recruitment and team-building efforts.
  • Drive business development including proposals, pricing, and risk assessments.
  • Build relationships with PE investors, corporate acquirers, and tech executives.
  • Define go-to-market messaging and sales materials to support growth.
  • Represent West Monroe at industry events and in the London market.
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in M&A advisory, management consulting, or related roles in software/high-tech industries.
  • Proven track record leading M&A engagements with due diligence, integration, and carve-out experience.
  • Experience with private equity firms, tech-focused corporate acquirers, or technology-driven businesses.
  • Deep understanding of software/SaaS business models, GTM strategies, product management, and tech platforms.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, operational analysis, and technology assessments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence executives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with passion for growing teams and client relationships.
