Senior Manager of Software Engineering

As Senior Manager of Software Engineering on the Calypso team, you lead a high-performance engineering group and contribute technically while shaping platform-driven cloud infrastructure for enterprise software. You balance hands-on design with people leadership to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable technology that reduces infrastructure toil for application teams. You’ll steer cross-functional collaboration with vendors and internal teams to validate architecture and drive outcomes. • Build and sustain a high-performance engineering team through structured hiring, onboarding, and ongoing coaching
• Create an empowered engineering culture with clear goals and rapid feedback for continuous improvement
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review peers’ work
• Identify and automate remediation to improve operational stability of applications and systems
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and applicability
• Foster diversity, inclusion, and respect within the team and broader organization

• Led or line-managed high-performance software engineering teams in an agile environment
• Formal cloud training or certification with applied experience
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, operational stability, and scalability
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Go, Java, Python, Terraform)
• Automation and continuous delivery proficiency
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methods (CI/CD, security)
• Knowledge of API development, AWS cloud, Kubernetes, platform engineering
