Senior Manager, Platform Engineering

Leading a team of 6-10 engineers, the full-time Senior Manager, Platform Engineering will oversee the design, development, and operation of core platform services, ensuring reliable delivery and fostering a high-trust engineering culture in a flexible remote environment. Key Responsibilities Manage and develop a team of software engineers, focusing on hiring, onboarding, and performance growth Own end-to-end delivery for the team's domain, setting priorities and ensuring predictable commitments from design to production Establish service reliability and operational practices, driving down incidents across various environments Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience building production software, with substantial hands-on experience in distributed systems and Kubernetes 5+ years of experience managing software engineers, with a proven track record in team development and delivery Experience with major hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their core services Strong knowledge of containers, CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code Ability to communicate technical risks and trade-offs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
