Job Description

• Run the tax compliance program end to end across the families' entities, trusts, and individual returns
• Serve as the single point of coordination with outside CPA firms, routing key information and inputs
• Manage CPA firms' timelines, deliverables, and quality, holding them accountable to deadlines
• Review work product and returns, issue-spot and escalates before filings
• Partner with the CFO and in-house counsel on tax structuring for new investments
• Build process and leverage technology to reduce reliance on informal, person-dependent workflows
• Own and centralize institutional knowledge of trusts, wills, estate plans, and entity structures
• Act as project owner for complex, episodic family matters from intake through resolution
• Coordinate outside advisors (attorneys, insurance agents, real estate professionals, etc.) and internal staff

Requirements / Qualifications

• 8+ years of HNW tax experience from public accounting, advisory, a family office, or a fund
• Required experience with trusts, estates, gift tax, and related matters
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to build process and structure in an environment with informal workflows
• Excellent communication skills, with comfort interacting directly with family members and senior leadership
• Ability to operate as an owner/coordinator rather than a preparer of tax filings
