Senior Margin Forecasting Analyst

Owning the analytical engine behind merchandise margin projection, the full-time Senior Margin Forecasting Analyst will build and maintain driver-based margin forecasts, quantify margin performance components, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership while working remotely. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain a driver-based merchandise margin forecast, incorporating various cost and pricing inputs Produce clear margin variance explanations and prepare executive reporting packages that translate complex analysis into understandable narratives Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure margin forecasts align with financial plans and support planning cycles Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field 4-6 years of experience in financial analysis, merchandise finance, or retail analytics Strong understanding of retail margin mechanics, including initial markup and markdown Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; proficiency with SQL preferred Demonstrated ability to build driver-based forecast models and communicate findings effectively to leadership
