Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer

Lead Microsoft Fabric data engineering in Stratford, developing secure pipelines and trusted information for the Insolvency Service. Flexible working options are available.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will develop and govern enterprise architecture supporting organisational strategy, digital transformation, and secure-by-design principles. You will integrate Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Azure services, and other systems for analytics, reporting, and artificial intelligence. Reporting to the Head of Data & Technology, you will translate requirements into robust solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop complex ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines
• Create reusable components, trusted datasets, and data products
• Implement validation, reconciliation, quality, lineage, and security controls
• Apply CI/CD, automated testing, and DataOps practices
• Troubleshoot pipelines and lead root-cause analysis

Requirements:

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and organisational data sources
• Understanding of governance, metadata, security, and recovery procedures
• Ability to support analytics, reporting, and Azure AI workloads
• Capability to provide technical leadership and mentor engineers
• Ability to work with scientists, analysts, teams, and suppliers
