Senior ML Engineer

In this role you will contribute to the Corporate Engineering AI program, building and evolving production-grade AI platform components that enable enterprise-wide, governed agentic capabilities. You will partner with product teams to deliver reusable MCP-based patterns and tools, ensuring secure, scalable AI interactions. You will shape the developer experience and collaborate with quality and site reliability engineers to maintain high standards. • Design and build MCP servers and tools that expose enterprise systems and workflows to AI agents
• Implement Skills to orchestrate tools, data, and reasoning into repeatable, governed workflows
• Contribute to the LSEG AI Assist harness, including planning, tool-calling, and orchestration logic
• Create secure API wrappers when backend systems lack suitable authentication or entitlement models
• Collaborate with product teams in a build-for capacity, sharing knowledge and reusable patterns
• Shape the developer experience for MCP and Skills, including templates and contribution guidance
• Partner with Quality Engineers and SREs to meet quality, governance, and operational readiness standards

• Strong Python development experience
• Hands-on with LLM and agent frameworks and agentic reasoning patterns
• Practical understanding of MCP, including server and tool patterns
• FastAPI and REST API design and implementation experience
• Experience with prompt engineering and RAG-based architectures
• Containerisation and Kubernetes-based deployment experience
• Ability to work across platform, product, and governance boundaries in an enterprise environment
