Senior ML Platform Engineer - Artificial Intelligence

In this role you help shape Bloomberg’s AI development lifecycle by building cohesive, scalable ML platforms for production-grade AI features. You’ll partner with AI application teams to streamline training, inference, and monitoring in a multi-tenant environment. You’ll contribute to open-source collaboration and cloud-native MLOps practices to improve efficiency, governance, and reliability. This is an opportunity to impact finance-focused AI systems at scale while working with cutting-edge tooling and open-source ecosystems.

• Architect, build, and diagnose multi-tenant AI platform systems
• Collaborate with AI teams to design workflows for continuous model training, inference, and monitoring
• Identify inefficiencies with AI experts and guide feature development for platforms
• Engage with open-source communities and AI teams to enhance the MLOps experience
• Design CI/CD automation frameworks that incorporate regulatory requirements
• Develop cloud-native deployment patterns for AI systems across environments
• Troubleshoot user issues and provide operational and user-facing documentation

• Proven experience with an object-oriented language (Python, Go, etc.)
• Experience designing cloud-native, distributed platforms
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Argo, and container orchestration
• Experience with modern CI/CD tools and GitOps workflows
• Familiarity with automation for model development lifecycles
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with peers and stakeholders
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent
• Understanding of CS fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms
