Senior Mobile Engineer

In this role you will help build and scale Funding Circle's mobile app to provide fast financing for small businesses. You’ll work within a cross-functional engineering team in a fast-paced fintech environment, delivering a strong user experience and reliable mobile features. You will mentor peers, contribute to code quality, and help the product evolve through robust testing and collaboration. • Lead on initiatives to improve or add functionality to Funding Circle mobile applications
• Collaborate within an agile cross-functional team and technology guilds
• Implement business functionality using React Native for iOS and Android
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring of the mobile team
• Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality
• QA features to identify bugs, usability issues and performance concerns

• Commercial experience with React.js, React Native and the associated ecosystem
• Strong mobile automated testing experience (unit, integration & end-to-end)
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal
• Good JavaScript knowledge, ideally including TypeScript
• Experience with continuous delivery, build pipelines and app releases (App Store and Play Store)
• Familiarity with mobile ecosystem tooling such as Firebase
• Familiarity with Gradle, XCode and other native build tools
• Ability to work with REST APIs and third-party services/libraries
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles
• Experience with code version control
• Ability to architect custom AI solutions and mentor teams in AI initiatives
