Senior Network and Security Engineer

As a Senior Network & Security Engineer at CMC Markets, you design, build and support our global network infrastructure spanning on-premises and cloud environments. You will work across project delivery and BAU operations to ensure performance, resilience and security for critical trading platforms in a regulated setting. You’ll lead network and security incident investigations, implement services in line with policy, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain connectivity and documentation. This role offers the chance to shape secure, low-latency networks in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on reliability and compliance. You’ll be at the core of keeping trading platforms

• Design, implement and maintain global LAN, WAN and cloud network infrastructure
• Deliver network engineering and design for new initiatives alongside BAU growth and optimisation
• Monitor network performance, capacity and availability with proactive support and troubleshooting
• Implement new network services aligned with internal policies, standards and security requirements
• Identify, advise on and remediate network and security risks
• Maintain secure VPN connectivity with external partners
• Perform BAU changes and troubleshooting on Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls
• Lead investigation and resolution of network and security incidents
• Collaborate with internal technology teams to resolve connectivity issues
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and diagrams
• Ensure all work aligns with policies, procedures and compliance obligations

• Strong experience operating and troubleshooting Cisco ACI environments
• Hands-on experience with multicast networking
• CCNP-level networking knowledge or certification
• Proven experience designing and building data centre and cloud networks
• Solid knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switch platforms
• Excellent documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
