Overview

In this Senior Network Architect role, you design the network, security and infrastructure patterns that keep platforms connected, secure, and ready for change. You collaborate with engineering, cyber security, enterprise architecture, and delivery teams to translate complex needs into practical designs. You deliver reusable connectivity patterns and guide migration for major transformation. You connect strategic decisions with how network and security changes are deployed and operated, maintaining risk and compliance focus. This role offers the chance to shape network architecture capability within a collaborative, curiosity-driven team.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to solution architecture for the Bank network across data centres, offices, branches, and external services
  • Produce reusable connectivity patterns and support migration approaches for large transformations
  • Shape network services decisions including routing, DNS, load balancing, and traffic flow controls
  • Foster collaboration across architecture, delivery, engineering and security teams
  • Align network and security changes with risk, compliance and operational readiness
  • Support development of high-profile infrastructure change and influence broader network architecture capability
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in network architecture or senior network engineering within a regulated, security- and resilience-focused environment
  • Experience with software-defined networking for data centres, WAN, office and branch deployments, including Cisco technologies
  • 3+ years designing/assuring network traffic controls (segmentation, NAC, firewalls, intrusion detection/response, control mapping)
  • 3+ years producing architecture artefacts (high-level designs, options papers, architecture decision records, governance submissions)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills enabling cross-functional decision-making
  • Hybrid and public cloud connectivity experience, integrating on-premises networks with cloud services
