Senior Network Architect – HFT

In this role you will shape and secure the firm’s global, low-latency network infrastructure, driving performance and reliability for its high-frequency trading environment. You collaborate with software and infrastructure teams to design, automate, and operate cutting-edge networks, with a focus on speed, visibility, and resilience. You will lead critical design and change activities, and contribute to scalable tooling and telemetry. - Lead the design, configuration, and maintenance of the global low-latency infrastructure and proprietary hardware platforms
- Identify and implement improvements to configurations, technologies, and procedures to boost network performance
- Provide hands-on operational support for high-performance wireless and wired networks
- Utilize monitoring and analysis tools to rapidly diagnose and resolve network issues across the global topology
- Document network processes, systems, and configurations for clarity and consistency
- Design and deploy new monitoring and telemetry systems to improve visibility
- Participate in network change and code review processes to continuously improve the environment
- Collaborate with software and infrastructure teams to enhance internal toolchains and productivity
- Use automation to streamline repetitive tasks and daily network operations
- Manage on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis, including weekends
- 10+ years of experience with large-scale or low-latency networks
- Experience managing large-scale networks, infrastructure, or software projects
- Proven ability to produce network design and architecture documents
- Deep knowledge of Internet, WAN, LAN, and data center architectures
- Strong routing and switching fundamentals with BGP, OSPF, or EIGRP; familiarity with multicast (IGMP, PIM)
- CCIE
- Linux proficiency across boot, services, files, processes, networking, and kernels
- Ability to deploy and operate monitoring frameworks (Cacti, Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, Tick)
- Solid firewall experience (Checkpoint, Fortigate, Palo Alto)
- Scripting in Python/Go or similar
- Willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedule, including weekends
