Senior Network Delivery Engineer

In this role you act as the technical authority for network delivery, guiding design, governance, and delivery across projects. You will design, implement, and assure complex networks built on Fortinet, Cisco, and Juniper technologies, ensuring secure and standards-aligned delivery. You’ll collaborate with sales, architecture, delivery, and support to translate requirements into solid technical outcomes. You’ll mentor engineers and help raise delivery capability while improving network services and delivery practices. This role offers the chance to shape Node4’s network portfolio and delivery methodologies.

• Lead customer discovery sessions, technical workshops, and implementation planning for network projects
• Produce and assure technical documentation: low-level designs, migration plans, test plans, diagrams, handover docs
• Configure, deploy, and validate network solutions per designs and requirements
• Act as Technical Design Authority: governance, technical assurance, risk management
• Review and approve technical deliverables and approaches from project engineers
• Ensure services align with best practices, standards, and service acceptance
• Support transition of services into support with readiness and quality documentation
• Troubleshoot complex deployment issues
• Contribute to reusable deployment standards, templates, and automation initiatives
• Mentor and develop delivery engineers and wider Network Practice teams
• Collaborate with vendors, partners, architects, and operations to deliver outcomes
• Support evolution of Node4's network portfolio, standards, and delivery methodologies

• Fortinet NSE5 or NSE6 and/or Cisco CCNP and/or Juniper JNCIP certification or equivalent
• Proven experience delivering enterprise networking in MSP, SI, or enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, VPN, data centre switching, LAN/WAN
• Experience producing low-level designs, migration and test plans, and documentation
• Experience leading technical design or senior consultancy on customer projects
• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex network environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication with technical and business stakeholders
• Experience mentoring engineers and building technical capability within delivery teams
• Exposure to automation, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, or repeatable deployment methods a plus
