Overview

In this role you will help design, deploy and safeguard a world-class trading network spanning data centers, 3rd-party colocation, and cloud providers. You’ll collaborate with trading systems developers to deliver a low-latency, stable platform that supports critical market activity. You’ll drive network projects and optimize services across internal and internet-facing components. The position offers a chance to shape the next phase of a sophisticated, mission-critical network in a premier London team.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deployment of new network topology to support the trading environment
  • Manage multiple network projects from planning to implementation
  • Configure and optimize network services across internal and external (cloud/colocation) environments
  • Collaborate with trading systems developers to deliver a performant trading platform
  • Monitor, diagnose and resolve network issues to maintain stability and integrity
Key requirements
  • Extensive routing and switching protocols knowledge; CCIE preferred
  • Unicast: OSPF, BGP, NAT, IPSEC, GRE; Multicast: PIM, RP, MSDP, IGMP
  • Switching: QoS, HSRP/VRRP, VPC/MLAG; Voice: SIP, SCCP, H.323
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications products (UCM, Unity Connection, Expressway, Jabber/WebEx Teams)
  • Strong scripting/automation experience, Python preferred
  • Strong network diagnostics, monitoring and alerting experience
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams
