Overview

In this role you will lead the design, implementation and support of enterprise-grade networks across multiple sites. You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and collaborate with senior peers to align outputs with strategic goals. You’ll address security, performance and operational standards while proactively mitigating risks. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge technology in a Defence & Security context and the chance to drive impactful network initiatives at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design, implementation and support of enterprise-grade solutions across one or more technology domains
  • Own complex technical deliverables ensuring quality, performance and architectural alignment
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Engineers and Associate Engineers
  • Collaborate with principal engineers, architects and capability leads to align outputs with strategic goals
  • Represent engineering in cross-functional discussions and drive alignment across teams
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with security, performance and operational standards
  • Identify and mitigate risks across engineering deliverables and service operations
Key requirements
  • Experience with large-scale, multi-site enterprise networks across LAN, WAN, datacentre, and hybrid-cloud environments
  • Knowledge of routing and switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, WI-FI, 802.1x
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus/WLC, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, and Dell products
  • Familiarity with security solutions: firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network access control
  • Experience with Software Defined Networking including virtualization (VMware NSX-T)
  • Experience with network automation
  • CCNP or equivalent industry experience
