Senior Network Engineer

Senior Network Engineer – eDV – Cheltenham – £450-£500 per day – 6 months + extension

FryerMiles are delighted to be working with a leading Defence and National Security consultancy who are looking to recruit a number of Senior Network Engineers to support a key National Security programme in Cheltenham.

You will take ownership of complex network and infrastructure projects from initial scoping and technical design through to integration and assurance, providing technical direction and working closely with clients, engineering teams and third-party suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of complex network and infrastructure solutions
• Scope technical requirements and assess solution feasibility
• Lead requirements, technical design and risk workshops
• Coordinate engineering teams, vendors and third parties through delivery and integration
• Manage technical scope, risk, dependencies and assurance
• Produce engineering artefacts including plans, requirements and test methodologies
• Provide technical advice and engineering best practice to clients
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and suppliers
• Report technical progress, risks and issues to senior management

Essential Experience:

• Strong Network Engineering / Systems Engineering background
• Experience leading complex network, infrastructure or secure technology projects
• Strong understanding of requirements management, risk, integration, verification and validation
• Experience within consultancy, systems integration or complex public sector environments
• Ability to provide technical direction across multiple workstreams
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience
• Defence, Government or National Security experience highly desirable
• Active eDV clearance
