Senior Network Engineer - Low Latency Trading

In this role you will design, build, and maintain the global, low-latency network that underpins our 24/7 trading and research platforms. You will collaborate with Systems and Trading Operations to ensure high availability and optimal performance across 25+ countries. Tackle large-scale networking challenges, from design decisions to day-to-day troubleshooting, delivering tangible impact on global operations. You'll work on diverse projects that shape our network architecture and strategic direction.

- Design and manage large-scale trading network environments
- Lead product selection and network design for performance and reliability
- Configure routing and troubleshoot complex network issues
- Collaborate with Systems and Trading Operations to monitor and maintain networks
- Contribute to high-level strategy and the technical nitty-gritty of global architecture
- Manage lifecycle projects and capacity planning across the network
- Provide field support and practical problem solving in network environments
- Create and maintain technical documentation and clear communications
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in low-latency and high-frequency trading environments
- Strong understanding of layer 2/3 protocols with knowledge of OSPF, BGP, PIM, IGMP
- Experience with Arista, Cisco, and other networking devices
- Familiarity with low-latency microwave networks and optical systems (desirable)
- Experience in designing enterprise networks, capacity planning, and lifecycle project management
- Packet decoding/analysis using tcpdump and Wireshark
- Proficiency with Unix/Linux CLI and networking stack
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for Ethernet, multicast market data, and global WAN
- Understanding of data center power and cooling, fiber optics cabling standards
- Willingness to solve small field problems; strong collaboration and transparency
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, NAT; configuration management tools (Ansible or Salt) desirable
- Familiarity with Python, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, GitHub desirable
- Familiarity with public cloud networks (AWS, GCP, Azure) desirable
