Senior Network Security Administrator

Secure and optimize R.W. Tomlinson Limited’s network infrastructure as an experienced Network Administrator in Ottawa, Ontario. Lead technical initiatives and escalated support.

This experienced Network Administrator supports the IT Systems group through network security, performance tuning, and infrastructure growth. The position includes leading a small team, managing projects, troubleshooting complex incidents, and communicating priorities, risks, and solutions. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure network device patching and compliance
• Identify network threats and technical vulnerabilities
• Design and implement network infrastructure
• Tune network performance and troubleshoot incidents
• Document configurations, procedures, and knowledge transfers

Requirements:

• Five or more years as a network professional
• Strong network security experience with firewalls and intrusion prevention
• Data Center, LAN, and WAN technical knowledge
• Experience with routing, switching, VLANs, and MPLS
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
