Senior Network Security Administrator

Strengthen network security and resolve complex incidents in Ottawa through hands-on administration, vulnerability management, and infrastructure troubleshooting. This work is on-site five days weekly.

As an experienced Network Administrator, you will support a growing environment within an IT Systems team. Your responsibilities include security, patching, compliance, performance optimization, and post-incident reviews. You will also collaborate with IT leadership and vendors while maintaining technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify vulnerabilities and manage network security risks
• Resolve complex incidents and complete post-incident reviews
• Oversee patching, compliance, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with leadership and vendors on project risks
• Maintain documentation and share knowledge across IT teams

Requirements:

• Five or more years administering enterprise networks
• Network security, firewall, and intrusion prevention expertise
• Knowledge of 802.1X, colourless ports, and policy servers
• Experience with Wireshark, NetFlow, and mobility controllers
• Flexibility for occasional evening, weekend work, and travel
