Senior Network Systems Engineer

In this role you will design, implement and optimise secure enterprise network solutions across diverse customer environments. You’ll own the lifecycle from requirements through to deployment and ongoing improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams. You’ll tackle complex networking challenges and contribute to larger infrastructure and transformation projects. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position in a well-established tech services business with hybrid working in Ringwood.

• Design and deliver enterprise network infrastructure
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and wireless networks
• Work with routing technologies including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
• Support multi-site LAN/WAN environments
• Integrate networking with cloud platforms, notably Microsoft Azure
• Apply network security principles (IDS/IPS, NAC, SSL/TLS, Zero Trust)
• Produce high-level and low-level technical designs
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define requirements and solutions
• Support major incidents and troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, resilience, security and maintainability
• Contribute to preventative maintenance and service improvement

• 5+ years in networking, infrastructure or systems engineering
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Routing, Switching, Firewalls
• Experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS
• Exposure to Azure networking (VNets, VPN gateways, load balancing)
• Experience documenting designs, procedures and implementation plans
• Knowledge of Fortinet, SonicWall or Meraki environments (beneficial)
• Knowledge of Windows Server, DNS, RADIUS, PKI (benefits networking focus)
• Cloud networking experience in Azure (advantage)
