Overview

In this role you will design, administer, and optimize Oracle databases and Oracle APEX/ORDS environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security across development, QA, and production. You will collaborate with DBA, middleware, and application teams to support critical business applications and lifecycle management. You will drive automation, incident resolution, and continuous improvement within multi-environment setups. Responsibilities
  • Manage Oracle databases (19c+) across multiple environments and perform installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations
  • Implement backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery solutions
  • Monitor performance, tune SQL/memory/storage, and manage security/roles/access
  • Support PDB/CDB architecture and database consolidation strategies
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle APEX and ORDS; manage schemas, users, and workspace configurations
  • Support APEX deployments and lifecycle management; troubleshoot performance and runtime issues
  • Configure ORDS connections, pools, and security integration; support integration with enterprise systems
  • Manage multi-environment setups (DEV/QA/PROD) and coordinate upgrades with cross-functional teams
  • Provide Tier 3 operational support for database and APEX incidents; participate in on-call rotations
  • Develop automation scripts for deployments, monitoring, and maintenance; contribute to CI/CD pipelines
  • Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements
Key requirements
  • 5–10+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience
  • Strong experience with Oracle APEX and ORDS administration
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle 19c+ architecture; PL/SQL, performance tuning, troubleshooting
  • Linux/Unix environment experience
  • RMAN backups and recovery strategies; database upgrades and migrations
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving in complex environments
