Senior Oracle APEX Database Administrator

Lead Oracle database administration and APEX platform support at Stantec in Edmonton, with responsibility across development, QA, and production environments.

As a Senior Oracle APEX and Database Administrator, you will design, administer, optimize, and manage Oracle databases and APEX/ORDS environments. The work includes Oracle 19c+, PL/SQL, performance tuning, security, and lifecycle management. You will collaborate with DBA, middleware, and application teams supporting critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Oracle databases across multiple environments
• Install, upgrade, patch, and migrate databases
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
• Configure and administer Oracle APEX and ORDS
• Provide Tier 3 incident support and troubleshooting

Requirements:

• Five to ten-plus years of Oracle Database Administration experience
• Strong Oracle APEX and ORDS administration experience
• Knowledge of Oracle 19c+ architecture and PL/SQL
• Experience with Linux or Unix environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
