Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Oracle HCM Functional Analyst to support and enhance a large-scale Oracle Cloud HCM environment. This individual will serve as a key functional partner to HR, Payroll, Finance, and Technology stakeholders, ensuring the platform remains stable, compliant, and aligned with evolving business requirements.

The ideal candidate brings strong Oracle Cloud HCM functional expertise, a deep understanding of end-to-end HCM business processes, and extensive experience supporting testing, system enhancements, quarterly releases, and production support activities. This role will be heavily involved in requirements gathering, impact analysis, user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and solution validation to ensure successful delivery of changes across the HCM ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional support, configuration, and ongoing optimization across the Oracle Cloud HCM platform.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze requirements for system enhancements, process improvements, and new functionality.
  • Support testing requirements initiatives, including:
    • oUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • oSystem Integration Testing (SIT)
    • oRegression Testing
    • oEnd-to-End Business Process Testing
    • oQuarterly Oracle Cloud Release Validation
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scripts, and validation documentation.
  • Perform impact assessments and evaluate system changes to ensure business continuity and minimize operational risk.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support integrations, reporting enhancements, and data-related initiatives.
  • Validate system functionality, configuration changes, reports, and integrations to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Support production issues, root cause analysis, defect triage, and resolution activities.
  • Analyze and validate HR and workforce data to ensure data integrity, compliance, and operational accuracy.
  • Participate in quarterly Oracle Cloud update reviews and proactively assess new functionality and potential business impacts.
  • Maintain detailed functional specifications, process documentation, testing artifacts, and configuration records.
  • Work closely with global stakeholders to coordinate changes, testing activities, and deployments across multiple business groups.

Skills and Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands‑on experience implementing, supporting, or enhancing Oracle Cloud HCM.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM and the relationships between core HCM business processes and system functionality.
  • Extensive experience leading or supporting:
    • oUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • oRegression Testing
    • oSystem Validation
    • oRelease Testing
    • oDefect Management
    • oChange Impact Analysis
  • Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting complex functional issues.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud quarterly update processes and release management activities.
  • Experience developing functional requirements, business process documentation, and testing artifacts.
  • Working knowledge of OTBI and BI Publisher reporting, including defining reporting requirements and validating outputs.
  • Experience with Fast Formulas and Oracle HCM configuration concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend scalable solutions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data validation, analysis, reconciliation, and testing activities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions.
  • Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
