Senior Engineer - OT Windows, Virtualisation & Networking

Capula is looking for a Senior Engineer - OT Windows, Virtualisation & Networking to support the delivery of secure Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure across critical UK energy projects.

As part of our growing team, you'll be responsible for designing, building, testing and commissioning OT infrastructure solutions, working across Windows Server, virtualisation, networking and cyber security in highly regulated environments.

What You'll Be Doing

✅ Designing and deploying OT infrastructure solutions

✅ Configuring Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy and system hardening

✅ Supporting virtualisation platforms and OT network infrastructure

✅ Working with firewalls, managed switches, VLANs, routing and segmentation

✅ Supporting FAT, integration testing and commissioning activities

✅ Applying OT cyber security best practices and secure-by-design principles

✅ Collaborating with Project Managers, Lead Engineers, Cyber Security Specialists and customers

What We're Looking For

✔ 3+ years' experience delivering OT infrastructure solutions

✔ Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy experience

✔ Experience with virtualised server environments

✔ Knowledge of OT networking, including switches, firewalls, VLANs and routing

✔ Understanding of OT cyber security and system hardening

✔ Experience producing design, build and test documentation

✔ Ability to deliver technical work packages throughout the project lifecycle

Desirable

➕ Experience in Energy, Utilities or other regulated industries

➕ Exposure to SCADA, Control or Automation systems

➕ Knowledge of industrial protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3 or Modbus

➕ Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, Fortinet or similar certifications

➕ Knowledge of IEC 62443 and OT cyber security standards
