Senior Payments Full Stack Developer

Build payment technology for CIBC in Toronto using Go, Java, REST APIs, and full-stack development across integrated systems.

As a Senior Consultant, Full Stack Developer, you will support CIBC’s Core Banking and Payments Technology team. You will develop, test, and support cross-functional, multi-platform applications for complex payment assignments. Your work will translate business requirements into secure, integrated solutions aligned with the technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design backend services and REST APIs using Go and Java
• Develop and test complex payment-related computer programs
• Build full-stack solutions integrating systems, data sources, and APIs
• Coordinate technical design and application system integration
• Document functionality, infrastructure, interfaces, and integrations

Requirements:

• Five-plus years supporting card-issuing payment systems
• Familiarity with VISA, Mastercard, and card transaction lifecycles
• Eight-plus years integrating APIs and event-driven systems
• Strong relational database knowledge, including schema design and migrations
• Familiarity with secure API design, Git, and collaborative workflows
